A Senior Geologist to an International/Ukrainian Joint Activity in the Oil and Gas Exploration Sector, is urgently needed.

The purpose of the position is to lead the geoscience and subsurface evaluation efforts on behalf of the company.

Activities during the exploration phase include acquisition and processing of seismic data, management of subsurface studies and drilling/testing of deep exploration wells.

The likely candidate is a broadly developed Geoscientist with a MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline and at least 10 years of oil, gas or mineral experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an integrated subsurface workprogram.
• Maintain an up-to-date view on prospectivity and volumetric estimates.
• Lead all geoscience evaluation related discussions.
• Maintain an overview of available subsurface data.
• Contribute to the supervision of the (re-) processing, of seismic data.
• Undertake 2D and 3D seismic interpretations.
• Responsible for exploration well proposals.
• Develop and update subsurface geological models.
• Responsible for geological operational support during drilling.
• Contract holder for any contracts related to geoscience evaluation.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
